Luxe and Lush
This was the only polish I intended on purchasing from The Hunger Games collection. I went to Sally’s and found that the entire collection was available EXCEPT Luxe and Lush… but then a light from the heavens shined down onto the display of China Glaze’s Electropop and there was a beautiful shimmering bottle. At first I thought “No way, It’s probably just China Glaze’s Techno” but it turned out to be Luxe and Lush!
The first thing I wanted to do with my short nails was use the Magnetic polish from Nails INC. No magnet would make the design on my long nails. I added Luxe & Lush on top before heading out to the movie.

I cut my nails short

Hunger Games opening
Anyone else wake up on Friday thinking The Hunger Games was opening? I don’t want to wait until the 23rd!
I just cannot comprehend how Deborah Lippmann can charge EIGHTEEN FUCKING DOLLARS for one bottle of nail polish.
I would NEVER spend over $10 on a single bottle of polish, no matter what the brand is.
Deborah Lippmann is overpriced.
I’ll pay more than $10 for Chanel, Givenchy or Dior. I usually wait for a sale on Butter London, Illamasqua or Nars.

It’s the other way around! I think it would be hard to do stuff without long nails because I’ve gotten so used to them Lol. Breakage is always a concern.
I’m not sure if this is the same anon who asked questions about how long it took my nails to grow, if not.. I hope you don’t mind I answer that in the same post.
I kept my nails somewhat short for a year. About this length:
and at the end of last summer I decided to grow them long (to the current length) again. It took about 2 months. I trim them down every two weeks to maintain this length and no, I won’t be growing them any longer.
If you’re going to grow your nails long, I would suggest maintaining a semi-long length for a while before growing them to your desired length. This way the brittle weak nail that you struggled to keep from breaking is completely gone. It’s made a difference for me, 2-3 years ago my long nails would break after a couple months and I’d have to start over again.
And of course, even if you do everything “right” and your nails are strong/healthy… you can still have a nail accident. So, wear a seat belt (lots of polish).
